22" for a TV is just too small.
Binoculars did not help.
There was a brief and lively discussion, and we were as one.
"Let's go!" said Mum.
So back we went and the Good Guys were brilliant - gave a changeover to a 32" Samsung for a mere $40 extra.
An hour later: "It's so big" and "I can't get used to it!"
We watched Stephen Fry break his arm on ABC.
That went pretty well.
We turned it off.
So far so good.
Let's talk about it again tomorrow some time.
A walk along the esplanade, at low tide today, and misty rain falling - cool and pleasant.

ReplyDeleteThe TV saga continues and only goes to re-inforce the view that such things as watching Stephen Fry break his arm and swan off to Miami are are just put on to pollute the mind. Real TV can only be seen in Ethiopia where TV is operational from 5 pm to 8 pm six nights a week and The President is given 1 hour per night for enlightening talks. The news comprises such items as the number of successful flights made on the day and the evils of capitalism. American basketball fills the remaining time -riveting stuff that would make anyone vote NO in the Majorie poll.
