Rover's in Clover

On the road again...couldn't wait to get on that road again. After doing the Clyde Mountain late yesterday afternoon, caravanning no longer holds any fears. Here we are on Day 1 of our new gypsy life with Rover our willing beast and Clover, his new companion. Months of preparation and breathtaking visa bills later, all the research and decision making done, we have a Rig. And, so far so good. Seems to be working, this miniature house of ours. It's a brave new world this life of no-fixed-abode. For we have no other home than this!
Tonight and for the next couple of days we are in Bateman's Bay, and then heading South at a genteel pace, aiming vaguely at Melbourne by the end of June. It doesn't do to plan too carefully. Bateman's Bay we chose for the Inauguration, the Beginning, the so to speak, Maiden Voyage of Clover because it seemed like an easy, civilized, familiar and above all, warm place to start. But last night there was a frost. We went to bed overtired and underdressed and spent a chilled night dreaming of warm feet.

So today we cycled into town and bought two hot pink fluffy hot water bottles, plus a bottle of champagne. Hopefully a better night tonight. Suggestions for other uses for the fluffy pink balls I cut off the hot water bottles are most welcome.
