Now we are in Seventeen Seventy. Lindsey and Rob holidayed here and recommended it. We're staying two nights because I just need to stop for a bit and do nothing much. David has been off riding his bike to the headland where James Cook landed in - you guessed it, 1770. Here's the spot.
Check out this cute albino moth resting on a window, there was a regular coloured one just the same nearby.
In today's only other exciting event, this photo records a spat going on directly above our heads, between a kookaburra and two blue-faced honeyeaters. The honeyeaters were yelling and pecking at the kooka's tail feathers. Wonder what he did to them?
David has gone fishing off the rocks, as recommended by the chap in reception. You won't catch anything off the beach, he said. And don't go for a swim down there, big 14 foot shark sighted in close to shore. So, yesterday, while David was swimming, and I was watching out for stingers and salties, there was also a shark? It's not for the faint-hearted, beach swimming in Queensland.
