Progress

Progress on the house means progress payments out of the account and I made the first one tonight.  A new neighbour, also our local newsagent, observed that the house had started (everybody knows everybody around here). So now, she went on, the money tap has been turned on, hey? Indeed.

Here's what has happened so far in return for our hard earned.

 Lots of workers, and the main man our Builder on site.

The foundations have been built upon with brick and concrete retaining walls now defining the underfloor levels.  The slab will be poured at the level of the tops of the short walls visible in these photos.

 Electrickery is connected.

This photo (below) is taken from what will be the front of the house. To the left is the foundation of the future garage.  The studio will be to the right at the same level.  The taller walls visible will end up inside the house with rooms on top of them. All a bit hard to understand.  Maybe David can figure out a way to post a copy of the floorplan on the blog. But he's just gone to bed and I must urgently go and watch Annabel Crabb in "Kitchen Cabinet" So goodnight all!
