Slippers and red wine

So here we are in our slippers, drinking a glass of cleanskin shiraz and its not bad at all at $2 per bottle.  David's cooking the fish (broadbill aka swordfish) and I'm here to tell you all about our day. After a morning of calls and emails in connection with The Great Building Project, we went to the block on which TGBP is planned and took lots of photos so our various family and friend architects can help us with ideas.  It's just a lovely spot. This is the dam, with the building envelope to the right of the picture.

After that we went to Diamond Beach nearby and did the coastal walk north through Khappinghat Nature Reserve.  Its a sandy track lined with banksias, teatree, wattle and the occasional casuarina.  Parts of it appear to be regenerating after a burn.

The acacia longifolia is flowering and leaving lovely honey, wattly scents in the area.

There is the occasional fungus...I can never resist photographing a good fungus. this was a cracker. Stripey orange and all tangled up with dead leaves and a burnt out branch, about the size of a saucer.

Today's sunset shot was taken facing South from the Forster /Tuncurry bridge.  They specialise in 360 degree sunsets around these here parts.
