We saw dolphins! We saw dolphins!

We are in Laurieton, where David used to have a health food shop in his former life. He also had his own restaurant at the hotel, and Lindsey was born here in 1981. It is a beautiful place AND we saw dolphins! At Pilot Beach! This afternoon! We had gone for a late afternoon stroll along the breakwater, also known, by those in the know of nautical terms, a "groyne". Well, standing on this groyne, we saw them, lots of them, beating up along the side of the rock wall, surfing in on the waves, leaping through the waves. It was all so Disney-Nimbin we could hardly contain ourselves. Then they went around and into the bay where they circled and seemed to be rounding up some fish. We saw them tossing fish in the air and generally having a jolly fun time. But they were very difficult to catch with the camera. David took the money shot (below).
