Lingering lazily in Laurieton

Himself has gone fishin' so I'm bloggin'. Yesterday we went walkin', all day. and I want to share this lovely lazy land of Laurieton with you. Banksias, huge, gnarly grey old fellows

with glorious blossoms alive with honeyeaters of all kinds.

This is a termite nest, not a good place to build a wooden house, this area.

This is not a tree looked at sideways, it is a branch from a massive paperbark.

There is a lovely weeping, glaucous casuarina in this area, the Boroughs think c.equesitifolia. Needle carpets look so inviting...

This taken in Crowdy Head National Park, just north, David drinking in the view of Kylie's Beach. Who was Kylie, we wondered.  Would we be so lucky? Lucky lucky lucky? Somewhat relieved to learn this beach was the favourite place of a more cultured Kylie, actually Kylie Tennant, the author: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kylie_Tennant whose hut may be visited nearby.

The beach was a landing point for three paragliders who had evidently launched off nearby Indian Head.

And now, the sunset shot, as you have come to expect.  But I couldn't choose which one to post...do you like the moon in this one?

What about this cloudscape with a shadowy figure beneath?  Deep symbology. Very deep.

Tomorrow we backtrack to Forster to have a second look at a house we like on 5 acres.  Could this area be The Place?  Stay posted.
