House building update

I've been back from Melbourne for a couple of days and here is the promised update on the building project.

Stonework retaining walls are now finished, except for the drainage pipes to be laid at the back of them.  What you see are garden beds (for herbs etc) that are just outside the kitchen. Concrete steps will go in to the left of these.

This shows the exterior cladding of the building, this is the western (rear) wall and back door.  It will be rendered and painted.  What colour? Good question...There are different ideas on that one.

This is the southern face of the building, those are the guest bedroom sliding doors. The dirt will be ramped up so you can walk out of these doors onto grass

This is the northern face of the building, looking at the kitchen window

and in the other direction of the north face of the building, looking at the lounge/dining windows

This is what I'll see as I do the washing up.  Hopefully it will have been tidied up by then.

This is looking from the front of the house, which faces east. That is the garage, and the galvanised corral to the left is our builders way of keeping the site tidy

Four skylights have been installed.  This one is above the guest bedroom hallway.

What's this, what's this? Its the beginnings of the electrical system!

The first powerpoint to be wired up is in the garage, nearest to the meter box (of course)
