Just to make life more interesting and easier, this bout of illness happened to coincide with our move from our former rental property to the one we are now in. This has happened during the week just gone. We have only moved next door, to the adjacent villa which is also owned by the same landlords. They kindly offered it to us to help us out. In fact it is their personal home in this area. They haven't actually lived in it for more than 3 years. They live in Gunnedah, in some units he built to service FIFO mining worker types. So this new place is very nicely appointed as you might expect for a rather well-off builder's own place. The problem for us is that all those very nice appointments totally fill up all the available cupboard space. Before we could move our clothes, food, toiletries and cleaning consumables in (the basic necessities in other words) I had to clear out space in a few of those cupboards, by putting some of their things in labelled plastic bags in a bedroom. Our furniture and other stuff is going into storage - hopefully in the garage of the new house. I'm trying to be grateful, but frankly I can't wait to get out of here and into our own place.
On the subject of the new house, would you like to see some more boring photos?
This is the kitchen space. Hopefully, an actual kitchen will be in it within a a few weeks.
The waterproofers have been at work. This is your shower. It won't stay that colour.
And, just to finish, a lovely little baby wattle bird on the bushes outside our dining room window. Cute, eh?
