Take it easy

Hmm. Perhaps going on that strenuous bike ride on Sunday, straight up the hill to the top of Tallwoods estate wasn't such a good idea after all. It was tough for David but he made me do it. That's my story. Perhaps as a result David was struck down by migraine yesterday and had to stay in bed until well after lunch.  Note to self: take it easy.

In a transparent attempt to have some of the health focus on me rather than David, I had my first appointment with our new GP yesterday.  He's just back from a month in Switzerland and is sporting a big bushy wild-man beard. But he's the gentlest and kindest of men, very thorough and up to date, quite young and keen.  So we count ourselves lucky to have found a new good GP and hope he stays around in the area. Generally speaking, the quality of the professionals around here has been excellent, so far.  We were expecting, being a rural area that it might not be as well served as Canberra for such people as doctors, lawyers, optometrists, physios etc.  But we have been pleasantly surprised. Perhaps good people are attracted by the same things that attracted us: the climate, the lifestyle and so on.

I'm collating some of my best photos into a folder to submit to Dianne at our local library.  She's in charge of selecting images for a local area calendar.  No current photos to share with you, so here's a couple of old ones from the folder I'm submitting. Right now, we're going for a sedate walk around the golf course, followed by lunch at the Bakery cafe in Halliday's Point.  Yes, this is an attempt to get you to move here. Since you ask.
